An Angelic Journey

He journeyed from heaven with incredible news. He carried his message to shepherds near Bethlehem in Judea. His glorious appearance that night struck terror in the hearts of those men who had begun their night as they had multiple times in the past. But this was not an ordinary night and these were not ordinary times for that privileged angel announced, ”Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:10-11)

The angel was suddenly joined by a great company of heavenly host who were praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests.” (Luke 2:14) They too were honored with the opportunity to praise the living God.

As we travel on our journey on this earth should we not consider it a privilege to announce the good news that the Messiah has come and redemption is found in Him? Should we not be honored that we too can praise the living God who loves us and has given the greatest gift the universe will ever know? (See John 3:16)
