It's Time to Walk the Walk - Part VII
In a final look at ways we can Walk the Walk, I wish to briefly address two issues. First of all we should actively network with people who believe and think as we do. Oftentimes we feel isolated thinking that we are the only person that feels the way we do. Not only does effective networking help to solidify our personal views, but additionally, by pooling our resources, we can be a more successful force in making positive change. More and more people are starting to speak out with their concerns and it is not difficult to find those who identify with our beliefs. Secondly, and directly tied to the first issue, is the importance of being actively involved in a congregation that holds to Biblical principals. The Founding Fathers could find no greater inspiration than the Scriptures and could find no greater strength than in the church and its Head. Over the past several months I have shared some ways that we can do a better job of walking the walk. They included Be Knowledgeable, Be a Healer Not a Wounder, Find the Off Button, Don’t Shoot Your Wounded, Teach Your Children and Grandchildren, and Be Involved in Your Local Schools. We also looked at our role in the political process and ways we could help those individuals who have made poor life choices. I even included a warning about the price we could pay if we chose to take some of these steps. I pray that God will continue to bless you as you continue to Walk the Walk. |
